ccr question 4 (text)
4. How did you integrate technologies (software, hardware and on-line) in the project?
The entire process of developing the product/film opening
involved many technologies and their elements. These factors ensured that we
were able to have the best possible start for our film. We began with the most
basic piece of technology; a digital camera and we used a Canon 800D alongside
a D7500 Nikon with a camera tripod to make our videos steadier and more
sustainable. We didn’t know much about camera first, but the introduction
activities helped us learn how use it more effectively. By the time we shot our
final product, we knew a lot more about the camera the we did at the start. The
project was edited with the Adobe Premiere Pro 2020 video editor. The decision
to utilize it as our editing software was made first and foremost because we
needed something manageable to get started with. We learnt a variety of things,
including why layering is vital in editing and how it simplifies the process.
The video was edited on a hp laptop and the audio was recorded on an iPhone 11.
We discovered a new and exciting sound editing feature
called "low pass," which efficiently removes low-frequency background
sound waves to make music smoother and clearer. Noises that were both diegetic
and non-diegetic were used.
The tripod was required for this project, but the props used
were the lunchbox, glasses which were meant to create a sense of innocence, as
previously indicated.
We've uploaded the trailer to our YouTube channel and rated
it 18+ since it involves a graphic representation of suicide that may be
upsetting to younger viewers.
We looked for inspiration on Pinterest and YouTube. This was
quite helpful in terms of helping us build our concept for the opening sequence
of our film, "search." As a result, we looked into a range of online
and offline technologies, and we made sure to practice them as part of our
warm-up activities to strengthen our skills.
