ccr question 3 (text)

 3. How did your production skills develop throughout the project?

I've always enjoyed doing art, and as I've gotten older, I've discovered a way to express myself through photography and filmmaking. Prior to crafting a film opening, we had experience making videos but not films. Because we had previously used a digital camera, we knew the basics of the camera for photos but not for video. The entire approach initially aided us in expressing our thoughts. While working on the opening sequence of our film, we learned a lot. The entire technique revolutionized how we make videos and films. The most important thing we learnt was how to plan a film from start to finish, from concept to script to practice shot. We realized how important it is to plan ahead of time throughout the process. The storyboard allowed us to see through the shots and be clearer about our film, while the screenplay helped us create a clearer sense of "search." Despite the fact that we decided to shoot our film in dark tone, we conducted research on color psychology and took the decision to make a dark tone film as a result of our findings. Learning what different colors can do in a movie was both entertaining and educational. During the first act of the film, the manner we directed our actors was a critical development. Being in the director's chair was a great responsibility, and because we all have shared responsibilities, we were able to divide that responsibility and assist each other in directing the film. Working as a team also taught us how to be team players, which is a skill that will benefit us not only in media studies or filmmaking, but also in other aspects of life. The complete editing approach became clear when we integrated the photos, such as what jump cut editing and fade in and out are, and we also modified the exposure for the entire film. The most important thing I learned was how to control the audio for the shots. We were constrained to the editors on our phones before editing software, so the editing process was foreign, but highly important and beneficial. Finally, I'd want to talk about the friendship that has been formed as a result of this effort. From the beginning, we gave it our all, and when the finished product arrived, we felt a great bond with it. We also learned how to improve our product by using criticism.
